BEMIDJI—The 39th annual Buena Vista Snowjourn, Bemidji's oldest ski race, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, on the west side Buena Vista trails.

The Snowjourn will feature a 12-kilometer classical and skate race along with a variable distance tour of up to 12 kilometers. The cut-across points on the west side trails create tour distances of 4, 7 or 12 kilometers, a press release from Buena Vista said. The event will also feature a 5-kilometer middle school (grades 6-8) freestyle race.

Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in the 12-kilometer skate and classical races as well as for traditional wood and woolen skiers. The top 10 female and male middle school finishers will be recognized. Drawings for door prizes will also be held.
