The tourney will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Smith Lake, between Nelson and Osakis.

Prizes will be awarded for the top 100 fish by weight. However, organizers of the annual event said that beyond the prizes and of course, bragging rights for catching the biggest fish, the tournament is hands down a great way to enjoy being on the ice with family and friends. And it is all for a great cause.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the following businesses: Alexandria Industries, Elden's Fresh Foods, Christopherson Bait, Paul's Small Engine or Osakis General Store.

There will also be a raffle drawing the day of the tournament. Raffle tickets can be purchased where event tickets are sold. Raffle prizes include an Ice Castle fish house, CF Moto CForce four-wheeler, Aluma trailer, Honda generator, Otter Cabin portable fish house, Ion ice auger, 55-inch Class 4K HDR TV and a Big Buddy heater.

The Fishing for the Cure tournament honors those who are fighting cancer, those who have fought and won, and those who have suffered from cancer and are no longer here.
