  • 20 g (2.5 tbsp.) dried cranberries

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 6 g (1cm) cubed piece of ginger peeled and chopped finely

  • 350 ml just boiled water

  • 1 sweet dessert apple I like to use Jazz apples, chopped

  1. Place your dried cranberries, cinnamon and ginger into a cup and add 150ml of boiling water. Give it a stir and leave to steep for 7-8 minutes.

  2. Place the cranberry mix and the chopped apple in your smoothie maker. Add in a splash of cold water if you think the liquid is too warm (see warning above about hot liquids and smoothie makers).

  3. Blend on high for a minute or two until the cranberries and ginger have been incorporated.

  4. Pour your smoothie into a cup and mix in the remaining 200ml just boiled water.

  5. Drink as is, or you can put in the microwave for 30 seconds to heat a little more if required.
