Budweiser Clydesdales to visit DL this Saturday
The world-famous, eight-horse Budweiser Clydesdale hitch will make a special appearance in Detroit Lakes this Saturday, June 1 in honor of D-S Beverages receiving the Ambassadors of Excellence Achievement Award.
The Clydesdales will be hitching in the parking lot area on Park Boulevard, in the Detroit Lakes City Park, starting at noon. The public is welcome to watch.
Starting at 1 p.m., the horses will parade down West Lake Drive from the City Park to the Detroit Lakes American Legion and back; the horses will be available for photographs after they are done, until approximately 3 p.m.
All ages are welcome to watch the parade. Start times are weather dependent and subject to change.
Anheuser-Busch's Budweiser Clydesdales make hundreds of appearances each year. The Clydesdales are an American icon and one of the world's most recognized corporate symbols. From their first appearance in 1933 to their enduring presence on the American landscape, the Clydesdales are more than the symbol of Budweiser beer; they are the living embodiment of America's great industrial spirit. Their last appearance in Detroit Lakes was in 2016, during the Fourth of July weekend.
